Wow, what can I say, this was a really brilliant idea. All the maps and charts you get from different lectures compressed into one book-- AWESOME. In fact I'm using it right now to go through hemostasis. Love the format, love the blank pages for writing. Love everything about this book. Buy it and there will be no regrets!

Great for graduate school pathophysiology

I'm using this book for a MSN (nurse practitioner) pathophysiology course, and it's great! Common disorders are "mapped" in such a fashion as to make it convenient to understand the exact, straightforward mechanisms involved in a disease process. What typically takes several pages in a conventional pathophysiology text to explain about a disorder (e.g., DIC, hyperthyroidism, complement cascade, hypersensitivity reactions, etc.) is nicely depicted (i.e., mapped) on one page, which makes the format excellent for reviewing concepts and preparing for exams. The material in this book is not "watered down" either; the material is technical and the reader should have a solid understanding of normal physiology. (This book should be used in conjunction with other pathophysiology books.) I would not recommended this text for undergraduate students; however, it is a needed resource (and great investment) for graduate level work (NP programs) and definitely for medical students. You won't be disappointed, and the price is right too!

I used the book and added information,like pharmacology and more pathology and then used it to review for exams.Its like making your own review book while your studying.
The format is easy to use with a note page and the material is perfect for second year med school.It is accurate and up to date.

Great Story and Audio Book

I can't tell you how much I love Valerie Leonard's reading of "These Is My Words." Ms. Leonard brings the story to life in all Sarah Prine's many happy and sad travails. I highly recommend listening to the book, and I don't often recommend listening to a book. That is a testament to the brilliant voice given to Sarah through Valerie Leonard's voice and the engaging story written by Nancy Turner. It is just too bad this audio book is no longer available on Amazon.

Satisfactory book for programming learning.

I wrote a very unhappy review, as I was beginning this class. With no programming background, I had a very difficult time following the material. However, as I have become more comfortable with the material, I'm becoming a lot more happy with the book.

The font is very small (and I have very good eyes). The color/texture of the paper combined with the color of the ink, and size and font of the letters, makes it very uncomfortable to read. Also, the binding makes it very difficult to keep the book open if you don't hold it with both hands, and it's exceedingly difficult to hold it with two hands while typing complicated strings of programming code into a computer. Should have been spiral binding, or something. I hope the publisher improves these in future editions.

Highly recommended to all my students and a valuable summary of the state-of-the art in C# programming.

This book continues the Wrox tradition of books, that teach programming in a step-by-step manner, which started in 2002. It is written in easy-to-understand English, which makes it ideal for my students. It has a very interesting table-of-content, that fo example shows cloud programming before ADO.NET. Entity Framework, for which there is no up-to-date book at the moment, is also covered. Obviously the books was written beginning with a blank page and C# 6 from the start which makes it outstanding compared to books that are refurbished every 2nd year. And it is slim compared to many other books. I read only a few chapters, so it's to early to know about errata issues.
